Gathering Together

We look forward to bringing our community together for shared experience and athletic competition again. The in-person CMC experience exudes a distinctive social warmth, and our goal is to continue to support the mental well-being and physical fitness of our students, faculty, staff, and alumni in the transition back to campus. We plan to restore all campus gatherings and events as soon as possible.

To start, we anticipate modified returns in the following areas:

  • Graduation: On May 15, CMC hosted a limited, in-person, student-only graduation ceremony for the Class of 2021. Future celebration weekends will follow June 3-5, 2022 for the Class of 2020 and Class of 2021. These  gatherings will include full campus commencement experiences and time spent with family, friends, faculty, coaches, and staff.
  • 75th Anniversary and special reunion events: This year will host many exciting in-person and hybrid anniversary events, along with an all-class Alumni Weekend scheduled for Memorial Day 2022. Please see for more information.
  • The Athenaeum: In-person Ath programming will begin September 13, 2022. An exciting, new distinguished speaker series for the 75th Anniversary will revolve around three primary themes: civilization and commerce; unity and division; science and policy. The College will also offer many hybrid programs, increasing accessibility for those who enjoyed being part of our virtual programming.
  • Physical education: A full slate of PE classes will proceed in the fall, with most in-person courses to be taught outdoors to mitigate risk and meet state and county guidelines. Virtual classes also will be offered as a convenient alternative.
